Intermediate Class: Tuesday, 4:15PM

To participate in this class, some experience is necessary, and placement is by one of the directors.
Advanced Class: Tuesday 5:00pm
$130 Tuition
Each rehearsal is 1 hour and 30 minutes at Cochise College, Room #709.
To participate in this class, at least one year of experience is required or pass an audition given by the director.
Beginner & Intermediate
For those beginning students, or for the young musician who does not have quite enough playing experience to join our advanced orchestra, we offer beginning and intermediate orchestra classes. Our orchestra is strings only: violin, viola, cello, and bass. These ensembles are for students who would like to learn to play those instruments in a group setting. Students will be assisted with fitting and rental of instruments during the first beginner class meeting.
Advanced Class
The Cochise County Youth Orchestra (CCYO) advanced class is now welcoming violin, viola, cello and string bass players to join in the fun next semester, which starts on Tuesday, August 19, 2025. Students from elementary to high school age who have at least one year of playing experience and are currently taking private lessons, or who pass an audition, are eligible to join the advanced class.
Tuition: $130 for entire semester. That breaks down to about $8 per each hour and a half rehearsal with professional instruction. Additional siblings who enroll pay only $90 per semester.

What do I need to register?
Bring the filled out student form and a form of payment on the first day of class. You can email a scanned and signed copy of the form to ccyo.email@gmail.com. Please arrive at least a few minutes early if you need registration assistance. Our music director will can assist you with any additional questions you may have.
Do I need to rent an instrument?
Yes, you do need to rent an instrument. We may have an instrument available for you to try out if you would like to try one. You can find our recommended rental locations at ccyo.info/links.
What forms of payment do you take?
For class enrollment we take Cash, Check, or Zelle. You can find us via Zelle using our email – ccyo.email@gmail or scanning the barcode below.
